  • Mike was, within any given riff, both a roots revivalist & an experimentai improvisor: No doubt he's playing blues, & when you listen for influences, you find them, but when you just listen, it's all Mike. He tirelessly gave credit to the greats before him: Albert, BB, Freddy, Muddy, Wolf, Otis & Buddy all had major career resurgences, due largely to Mike virtually -demanding- it. At the other end, Mike's THE beginning of modern lead guitar, electrifying the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.

  • I think that a fast tempo or a slow tempo has nothing to do with explanation of on a shuffle.

  • Love Mike Bloomfield....

  • My LP of this is worn out - it has been played so many times. I have the cd - but the LP has all the pops, crackles and warmth only vinyl can give. Mike was an awesome guitarist - I never get tired of hearing this.

  • I can tell you EXACTLY who the horns are . Dead sure of it too . The horns were an afterthought that was overdubbed of the one and only , ' MUSCLE SHOALS WHITE TRASH HORN SECTION " .......... Without any doubt of it !

  • The best moment of my life was at the Golden Bear in Huntington Beach CA. Bloomfield, Naftalin, Cropper, Dunn. Feet on the stage and Wild Turkey 101.

  • the best song of all times!!!!!

  • He was kind of BB King with more "fire" if you get what I mean.

His playing really matured and he could hold his own with the very best in the business.

Damn drugs took another one much too soon.

My God, but they have one great band in heaven.

  • This, is perfect music.

  • THE SEXIEST SONG EVER!!!

  • Bend it like Bloomfield!!!!!!
