Mountains of North Carolina

http://www.photofonz.com/ - On a recent trip to the mountains of North Carolina to see the fall foliage, our trip is highlighted as the mountains heading into Boone, NC come into view.

We see the beautifull fall colors as we continually climb the steep roads. Along the way we stop at some of the lookouts on the Blue Ridge Parkway and see the beautiful sights of Southern Appalachia.

Then we head over and drive through the beautiful town of Blowing Rock, NC. There we stop and see the Blowing Rock and lookout from the observation tower and take in breathtaking views along with extraordinary fall colors.

The Tweetsie Railroad in also located in Blowing Rock, NC but that will have to be experienced at another time since it was closed week days when we were there.
