Sadly most people on the right don't know the difference between military spending and defense spending. Paul actually wants to increase defense spending while hugely drawing down from military spending.

The federal Government has no right digging into the affairs of the private sector with the soul exception of taxing us to pay for the common defense of the people.

When America was founded, the primary reason that George Washington was chosen as the First President was because he had an outstanding Military record as General Washington! Because the people knew he would defend them. The federal Government's duty and soul responsibility is to defend our nation and uphold, defend, and sustain the Constitution! I agree with I'm pretty sure everything that Ron Paul said except for the cutting of "Military spending". Military spending IS defense spending!

@peggy986 The federal government takes money out of the private sector. It forbids people to hold a job when they are young. They control the education of children. So when a person is old enough to work, he has no work ethic, a poor education, and there is no job. Ron Paul would return liberty, and this always spawns prosperity. When the Fed prints money it devalues the dollar in your pocket and transfers that value, it new dollars, to corporations. he would end that practice.
