For weeks, many children's toys have been recalled because of lead poisoning and toy testing has been on the forefront of many peoples' minds.
The agency in place to test toys only pays one person to be a full-time tester, WESH 2 News reported.
WESH 2's Scott Walker bought some everyday toys and supplies to see if they pass the lead test.
Among the toys tested were Hot Wheels cars, super hero action figures and school supplies.
Behind all the recalls plaguing news reports is lead. In excessive amounts, lead can cause brain damage and learning problems in children.
