this was my favorite anime... yea, sure it wasnt action-packed with explosions, violence and magic every episode, nor was it really drenched with strong sexual promiscuity ... but i could really feel a connection to Jinto and Lafiel as the plot unfolded
~ anyone know if there will be any future development into the Seikai universe?

Its too bad the author hasn't written anything for years in this series. I keep tabs on it occasionally.

Well, volume 4 came out last year in light novel form but the manga as far as I know still hasn't even done volume 3. One thing to look out for, though, will be if they ever translate volume 3 of the light novel because the anime OVA cut a huge amount (banner of the stars I and II were both the same length in novel form as banner of the star III). Here's hoping they do bring over vol. 3 and 4.

It was such a well done series i thought. The guy got himself a princess..... To bad he can never step foot on his home world thou. He wanted to show it to her.

It is based on the same story, just a couple novels forward in time. Crest of the Stars is based on the first 3. Then you have a couple of novels for Banner of the Stars I and II. Then you have the above Part III which was released in an OVA fashion. Sadly there is more material, considering that there are a couple of novels available in Japan, but the animators and production staff are currently busy on other projects.
