Part 1: Michigan's Future; It's all about lifestyles

From a presentation at Kirk in the Hills Presbyterian Church, Friday, April 16, 2010 - Join Buzz Brown, President of the Greater West Bloomfield Historical Society, for an interesting analysis of local living; past, present and future. Mr. Brown will introduce the Life Styles Timeline that identifies the four types of inhabitants of the Bloomfield Area. The timeline begins with the earliest Native American residents and extends to the Suburbanites of today. He will give examples of how the various modes of transportation and the infrastructure to support each led to the evolving character of the area. Using the analysis of the timeline and referencing current publications, Brown will propose that life style is what brought the previous inhabitants to the area and life style will dictate the future development of the area as well.
