Hot little turbine

for more engines see www.indianarog.com This miniature turbine has to be one of the best deals on eBay I have ever come across. Built by Wolfgang Engineering (eBay seller Wolfgang314) here in the U.S., it is simple but incredibly effective at turning steam into motion...AND sound. Here it is idling along, then I put 30 PSI of steam pressure to it... enjoy! Please note that the boiler powering this is a substantial unit...1440 Watts electrically heated 3" x 10" sized insulated boiler vessel. I would NOT recommend trying to steam this turbine on anything less than a Jensen 25 (2.5" diameter x 6" long boiler). Alternatively, an air compressor would do a fine job...trick is to have the volume of steam or air to sustain this turbine...it's a hungry little beast!

ball bearings ???

Yes, it has two ball bearing races set into the aluminum flats it is riding in. These must be oiled frequently with light weight oil as the steam washes it out fast.
