@weddinganejakopp Louis XIII was the first dancing king, interestingly enough, so with two kinds dancing and encouraging it (and getting backup from Lully) it's no surprise that "Ballet" is a French invention and that so much of the nomenclature is French.

@sugaryangele He was in his twenties when he finally decided to take power after the death of Cardinal Mazarin (Mazarini, an Italian from Rome). Rossellini's famous film about the taking of power by Louiis XIV is also very interesting. Louis had simply been a playboy and puppet before, but he became a great kind (with the human faults all have) and well merits being called Louis le Grand, since French culture flourished under him as never before and never after.
