HE SHOULD NOT THROW CURVE BALLS AT AGE 10

@Landinomartes I agree in the long run none of this matters, but short term we are going to do what we can to remain competitive. The 4 seam and 2 seam will be the workhorse, but drop, curve and change will be used depending on what is working the best that day.

@osborneg1 I agree with having fun but u r putting 2 much stress on that elbow at such a young age. If u talk about having fun ,it should not matter if he gives up 1 run or 20 in one game. After all this games mean nothing. He is not pitching to major leaguers or even high school.

@anthonymorabito32 it's not like he throws it 24/7

Why is a ten year old throwing a curve ball? If he throws it wrong he will kill his arm and it is more like a gravity ball than anything

well, I once baffled hitters with my fastball and change. But the opposing pitcher threw 65 and we won 12-0 because he just had a fastball
A circle change is way more effective at this age. Don't see to many kids that throw a curve and not give it away before they even throw it. Good batters can see that curve before the pitch. Circle change is easy to pick in their hand and throw it the same as a fastball. Any kid at that age that throws a curve won't make it past hs. How many pitchers in the pro's came from the Little League WS. None. My 10 year old has been begging me to let him throw the curve. No Way. Circle and Cutter.

@mparmeter1 he throws a palm ball for his change. At this point we are just working on different pitches to see which ones he picks up on the best and can use effectively/consistently in a game. When the drop is on, it is lights out!!!!!!!!
