thats really cool!

@FlpBusker HI, oh thanks! I thought thats the name of the organ!

As amazing that was, I feel like there should have been a monkey with a cup begging for money. I love the song, and that was sweet and it reminded of the beggers with the monkeys wearing the fez hats haha. Pretty sweet though.

Hows about you come down here to New Orleans and play that by Cafe Du Monde on Decatur Street, I bet you'll make a buck or too!

If I sent you a MIDI arrangement that I made myself, would you be willing to punch it into a roll and play it if you like it enough?
I am not a computer whiz, but I am a musician with an older version of Cakewalk and also a freeware program called Anvil Studio. I don't really have any money to pay you but of course you can keep the finished roll and make copies for friends if you like, so long as my name as arranger is kept on the roll labels (I don't have an organ myself).

Hi KawhackitaRag. Sure, I can try.
But be aware that the organ only has 26 notes:
D# F G# A# C C# D D# F G G# A A# C C# D D# E F F# G G# A A# C C#
Or, midi 51 53 56 58 60 61 62 63 65 67 68 69 70 72 73 74 75 76 77 78 79 80 81 82 84 85.

Brilliant how you were able to make your own music rolls from a musical score using a PC. What software is this? Also, how did you make the punching machine? Great work!

Hello zipperfoot1, thank you
For this roll, I've found a midi file; no conversion from score needed.
Some music I arranged from printed score, on the traditional music notation form.
I use "Myriad Melody Assistant" to edit the score and create the midi file, a software of my own to convert the midi file to g-code, and "Dak TurboCnc" to control the perforator machine. You may find more information by searching the web for "wmbusker music roll perforator".

Whats the song calleD?
anglerfly 1 year ago
Hi Anglerfly. The song is "The House of the Rising Sun", an old American folk song, this version was arranged as recorded by the rock group "The Animals" in 1964.
