TURN UP YOUR SPEAKERS!!!

Outdoor warning siren sound again on February 11 for a Severe Thunderstorm Warning conciding a Tornado Watch in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Sirens heard are Thunderbolts, 2001-SRNs, and a T-128.

  • John, I'd say the T-128. There is a thunderbolt 1000 a mile away that I tried filming last Wednesday, but it still isn't working. You can hear it pretty loudly in my June 6 video.

  • I was in a parking lot (at work) in Newport, Kentucky when this happened yesterday. I got treated to the sounds of a TBolt (the high-pitched one downtown), two Modulator 2048s and a 2001, though the TBolt pretty much drowned out the others.

  • wow, one of the few times those Modulators sound out loud. i hear that they're tested silently.

  • They can be tested silently, but as far as I know, they still sound during the regular monthly test - at least they did back in June (the last time I was down there during a monthly test).
