@foresty yea my 22. Stock is the opposite way of his.
-
I had one of these in the late '60s. I would save my school lunch money to buy ammo for it.
-
@yellowbusguy Well you did a hell of a nice job and are fortunate to own such a beauty.
-
That is a nice .22. Hard to find those in good condition. I am sure though that the rear stock is on upside down. You may have noticed that by now.

Good vidio and love these simple to use and accurate little gun but it will be more comforable toi shoot if you turn the buttstock around!

Just the same it is a really nice rifle. I hope to find one like that some day. I recently read an article that if the barrel is worn out you can have it "relined" with a barrel liner. Your barrel looks in remarkably good shape though.

@forrestry Thanks, the barrel is in very good shape, the rifling looks crisp and the bore shines like a mirror after cleaning. Where the threaded rod for the stock screws into the receiver was badly cross threaded and I had to tap new threads. I had fitment issues when i reassembled the stock and I thought that the tap had run crooked and thrown everything out of alignment.

You are correct about the stock. That is how it came to me so I reassembled it the same. I looked up images of it and it's so obvious now. Thanks.
