With more capital left at home and the government no longer vainly attempting to redistribute wealth for our own good, charities and churches will be able to effectively care for this nation's homeless and disenfranchised. Its not that anyone thinks people should not be taken care of. Its that you fundamentally misunderstand how people are taken care of. Involving the government as a safety net the way it is is bad. Its going to drive prices up, like it has, and lead to greater and greater involvement of the government in deciding how care is given.
