Eastern Ministers Guitar Band-Uwa Tuto Uwa Fufu. The eastern ministers were a popular igbo highlife band in the early 70s. Their two biggests hits came from this song and "Nwaka Ego." They were led by the late John Ikediala, and if anyone has any information that they would like to share about this song or a translation for any non igbo speaker, feel free to post a comment.

  • @Uchewali, thanks for the effort to address my request, but unfortunately I could not access NWAKAEGO by Chima Eke as you did advise. Meanwhile, UGBO OWERRI, UWA TUTO and ENWE LAA now could not be accessed any longer. Please try and remedy the situation. I love Chima Eke's music. I would always appreciate your good efforts. Remain bless.

  • You have wonderful collection. I am from Umuahia but schooled in Owerri. I love this records as I still remember John Ikediala and 'Ogu spoke' and Rapheal Anusiem. I love their record and would like to have them. Please could you upload Ala Ubi for us to listen? Chyke

  • Chei!ala owerri

  • I wish to thank the person sending these updates about John Ikediala. I grew up to admire his music, though never knew the artist's name. I searhed a long time to get "Nwa ka ego"; and later "Uwa Tuto Uwa Fufu". I still suspect he was associated with "Alubi" or "Onyisi na Onyen ngworo', "Urur Gini Ka O gabara Gi", "Ome Nneji, Owa sinu Oke puta (or whatever), Onye egbula onwe ya" . These are the ones I could remember.

    . God bless Biafra
