Frankly, Im not particularly enthusiastic about this singing, but this recording may be of interest, if not in vocalism, perhaps in better understanding of the plot of the story for non-Russian listeners.

cool - - I've always liked Adenhoff - the first I heard him on "records" was in Der Freischutz & sounded like he hit about 3 pitches at once on some top notes - but there was a lot of drama. Would you have any August Seider to post? btw - thanks for Georgi Nelepp
