Magnificent! from what I can see, or more accurately hear, the computer control action gives a much faster keying action than you could normally expect to get using a jacquard card and air. Many thanks for sharing it with us folk out here in cyberspace.
One question though, I've so far two Video Tracks, this one and #2, are there any more?

Hey, good organ! Nice to hear the arrangement of Johnny comes home, it comes from a movie, called Betrayed. The arrangement is done by Romke de Waard, a dutch judge, who started up the whole preservationsociety of the dutch streetorgan in the 1950's and also was responsible for many nice arrangements. There is a 78 recording from that time of the Three Wiggs playing it.
What's playing the organ? The paper roll isn't working.

It is playing from a MIDI system. The computer controls the array of small electromagnetic valves seen just above the bellows. They activate the notes just as a hole in the roll would. The roll frame can still be used at any time.

If you were going to do a video of the workings of the organ, it's a pity that the roll player wasn't working. The roll player adds enormous interest. Using MIDI kind of defeats the object.

Apparently the music the owner is interested in (and voiced the organ for) is only available on MIDI. He used to use the roll player, but now it is only used for tuning purposes.
As can be seen on my other videos, I am a big fan of roll players. That said, this organ has such a great tone and there is still quite a bit of mechanical interest to the organ.
I wouldn't fault the owner as this music makes the organ really shine!
