Wanderer dinghy sails Poole Harbour October 2010

Launching early at Ridge Wharf near Wareham on a falling neap tide but with no wind. By early afternoon the tide was back in and stayed in all afternoon thanks to the double tide effect which allowed us to sail the shallower south side of the harbour and cross some of the mudflats even though we frequently touched the bottom. By the end of the day we figured we had sailed about 25 miles and we haven't even started to explore all the creeks , harbours and beaches. We will be back.

@johncoleshill Yeah, we can't wait to go back; thinking of launching at Rockley Park next time tho as it is a long haul from Ridge Wharf with a noisy engine
