@jonathanaconway @jonathanaconway Also, I wanted to add... If you think "Atlas Shrugs" is comparable to "Practical Anarchy," you're high in the night. Where there was only the most practical realization of another person's situation, Molyneux is highly empathetic and not as pragmatic as Rand. Having read both, as similar as they are principally in some cases, they're worlds apart emotionally.

@jonathanaconway And what's my motivation? Simple: I selfishly want to live in a society where my INDIVIDUAL rights are protected by a government strong enough to defend me from criminals, fraud, etc. If you want to be an anarchist, go ahead, but I'll continue to defend the type of system what I think serves MY interests the best.

@deadflagbluesxxx I give full credit to Ayn Rand, rather than stealing her ideas, mixing them with the opposite and labelling them as "mine", as certain libertarians/anarchists have done. These are Ayn Rand's ideas, not mine, I'm just defending them the best way I know how.

@jonathanaconway "Objective law." It's important that when you talk about things in general to have a greater understanding of it, as to not sound like your usual ranting Youtube user. If you like reading, read Emma Goldman's "Anarchism and Other Essays." To make a general comment like that alluding to Anarchists "capability," you're saying that in the face of the greatest modern thinkers and who are you? Just some angry youtube guy calling people "douchebags."

@deadflagbluesxxx No I still call him a douchebag because of his personality. Look at how he acted during his YouTube "debate" with Jan Helfeld. He strikes me as a pretentious mediocrity. I admit that all of the above is character attacking. The reasoning behind favouring limited government (as opposed to no government) has been covered by Ayn Rand in essays and by other Objectivists. The anarchists don't seem capable of addressing the principle issue: objective law.

@jonathanaconway I don't think you've listened to or read enough of his material. He's a proponent of Libertarianism, but he doesn't quite fit under that. Nothing wrong with different ideas, especially as we've watched multiple variations of statism have continued to fail us. For future reference, if someone is in disagreement with you, they're just a person who doesn't agree with you. Not a "douchebag."

@deadflagbluesxxx That he's against the only institution capable of defending individual rights - government. And he claims to be an advocate of free markets, thus tarnishing the name of capitalism almost as badly as the conservatives have done.
