where do you get your sounds from?

Got an MPC500 for Christmas. I'm using your tutorials to get started...everything is looking good so far. My most basic questions answered and I don't have to keep referring to the users manual for shitty instruction lol. Thanks for making this learning experience a little less tedious.

Can u load a folder and all of the sounds in the folder load up or do u have to load each individual sound? Please Help and thank u

Respond to this video... hey thats some helpful shit dude . i tried reading the user guyed and it confused the shit out of me hah. u must have mastered the machine by now. have u figured out how to chop up samples just using the mpc itself . it fuckin ridicules. im starting to understand it better but still having a hard time figuring this thing out .

@delakush666 i never really did master the chopping. its to long and numerical. it has to be done by ear. i just import my chops from my laptop.

@riosbeatz1 i go to hit the pad i assigned the sample to and it plays the whole thing . i want to be able to play the sample by holding down the pad and stopping it when i release the pad . any idea on how to do that.?

@delakush666 oh man its been a while since i messed with an mpc but i believe it's in the program mode. you have to switch the "note" to on. i believe. lemme know if its right.
