I call shenanigans. It's not necessary to have the arrow right next to the eye to aim accurately, some have their fingers just below the arrow on the string, some leave several inches between the index finger and the arrow, which does put the arrow about at the eye level.
But anyway, you can only reliably take the direction aim with instinctual archery anyway; elevation needs to be either estimated from the distance or tried with test shots.

That kind of aim isn't possible by holding the arrow up to the cheekbone. The arrow needs to be held up to next to their eye. The cheekbone level only looks better for Hollywood.
