Religion has been the reason people use to excuse some abominable acts- but remember the real motives. Difference scares. 'Lesbian' denotes a world where men do not figure in women's sexual pleasure. 'Gay' challenges a man's status in this light. Religion can help. I helped a gay friend against the ignorance of our classmates. My faith is love- not telling people who they can love. However, I'm aware that there are MANY examples of the opposite. Tyrrany takes many forms- it isn't choosy.

@samdonelly7 thats kind of cobblers really, every relationship has its own flavour and you can't generalise, lesbians aren't another species fella, they're just girls who dig girls, its really as simple as that, gay, straight, lesbian, bi, it doesn't matter what you call yourself, at the end of the day, its just people doing what people do, love, care, sex, desire, lust, compassion, its universal.

I think j0andc0 has missed the fundamental point of this series.

Jessicas unhappiness may well stem from a lack of love and kindness. But it is her hallelujah upbringing that has withheld the kindness (with a few exceptions) and worked fervently to deprive her of a love she desperately wants.

Paraphrase. "All she needs is a good man" yeah right, and a unicycling kipper.

You stated that lesbianism denotes a world where men do not figure in womens sexual pleasure...My fiance is bi, and shes in love with another girl. My girl loves a girl. Weird, right? But for as long as Ive known lesbians, its never been about sex. Its about love, nurturing, and caring for one another. And a lesbian can really care for a man like a straight women cant. Completely non-sexually.
