  • No offence, just a joke.

The conductor looks like one of those blue creatures from the movie "Avatar"!

  • Whether you like his interpretation or not (and I like some of his and sometimes not so much) he appears to make playing the most difficult works totally effortless, he reliably produces a beautiful tone.

  • 7:05 - 7:40 was so rushed, and it's the best part of the song :( Listen to Perlman play it.

  • Ivry Giltis was the consummate concert violinist; a pleasure to watch, hear, & learn from. He is able to incorporate philosophy with music making & has a good reason for everything he does. His phrasings are incredibly; fresh, unique, & bold without getting carried away. This is a prime example of how he is able to play a concerto in such a way that the composer himself would have greatly appreciated. This is how Tchaikovsky would have wanted it.

  • I think this is the greatest interpretaion of this concert. Thank you for posting it. Remarkable violinist!
