@qtlicious100 I used to watch a lot of TV, but then I stopped. Trust me it's great. I look at people who watch TV all the time now and I just don't understand. You'll never look back once you've stopped, good luck!

great video....Richard Dreyfuss recently said that TV and video is supplanting many other art forms (like sculpture, ballet, literature etc), the result being that we don't take time to think anymore (except in sound bites), and this has led to our being manipulated. See my review of The Shallows, too....if we don't read or think deeply, our future is bleak.

I canceled cable when I returned to university just so I wouldn't be distracted for one semester... it was TRULY the best thing I have ever done. I feel like I have 48 hours a day. I am totally a new person. Started going to the gym, cooking my own food, going out more... It changed my life. Just try it, and I PROMISE it will change yours too.

Well.....I haven't been addicted to TV in quite a few years......however when I do watch something.....I only watch it while I am working out on my eliptical. That way I know I will burn calories instead of packing them on. I just need to figure out a way to make the tv run on the energy I create.....then I would be green too! LOL

I hope you do well at it.

Don't get possessed by the Television!
Addiction to TV is not so hard to break than addiction to computer. You can unplug your TV, but I doubt anyone would do the same to the computer. Unlike TV, computer is twofaced. In some cases its necessary to check e-mails and other useful information. But then, once you're on, you can do other things that you do not need.
