I never thought of Ah Wilderness as a comedy.
The term nostalgia comes to mind though.

Made into a wonderful B'dway musical in the
50s w/ Jackie Gleason and Walter Pidgeon.
"Take Me Along" is from the show. A great
soft shoe number.
