This was an exercise to try to figure out some audio processing in Adobe After Effects; Not by altering the sound, but getting stuff to react to it at different frequencies.
It gets a bit funky during parts where things are louder overall and sometimes there's a crazy mix of frequencies going on all at the same time, but you get the general idea.
I would've liked to tweak it to get things a bit more perfect, but I also wanted to do the whole thing based on expressions with no manual intervention (and it was taking far too long to render and preview to try to do it manually). Ultimately, I did have After Effects convert the expressions down to keyframes purely for the sake of render time. This dropped the render down from several days to about 10 hours, but the animation is generated entirely by expressions.
Trapcode Sound Keys was NOT used in this project.
@Inconnu298 I'd like to, but to be honest, Cataclysm has really put me off wow recently.
I've got a few videos from Wrath that I haven't put up yet, so I might get those done over the next few weeks, but I haven't even taken my druid past 80 yet (priest's my main these days, so he's 85 and my warrior). Too many idiots and bad pugs these days.
