I don't understand how this kind of non-professional amature competitions are legal in California, while Chinese SanShou with full protective gears (boxing gloves, helmets, leg guards, no knees and elbows) would be illegal? Strange.

Tough Karate fighters. I would not fight with any of the guys (and girls) I saw today. All the fighters went home today with chest and legs all bruised up. I personally don't know a lot of martial artists that can take three minutes of full contact punches to the chest without going down. No disrespect, but these guys are nuts. lol
