@SpruikerSlayer - yeah don;t give up - I used to take home 5K each month and had a great time doing so - be careful how much you drink - there is a huge drink culture in recruitment - stay focused and watch the big billers and copy them - thats how i made my money - there are many knock backs - but you've got to keep going.
@SpruikerSlayer - don't give up - you can earn good money in this role - some consultants i know take home £18,000 4 weekly - pick a market - oracle - sap - pc support - lotus notes and take full control. Take a good cv of someone who is looking - market them out left right and centre - the hiring manage will wither say - no PSL - yes am looking but this is what i'm looking for - in which case you have a requirement - or he'll this guy is looking for these skills in chich case you'll have a
Another thing I get when reverse marketing is that they say, 'oh we don't have a position open at the moment in that area, but you can send his resume'. Then they come back few days later with the old we have no position for him. My biggest problem remains how to arrange a meeting with the prospect. Still haven't got one. Tried but they say it would be a waste of my time and theirs if they have no requirement
I started in recruiting 4 weeks ago. Boy its a tough slog. Every day, 9-5 on the phone, hundreds of calls, thousands of excuses. Most common being : "we don't have a requirement". I got dozens of highly skilled candidates to reverse market. But it's the same o'l story. No requirement. There's nothing I can do if they don't have a vacancy for them.

Fine content - but does she have to look so insufferably smug? Is she an actor or a recruiter?
