This sample shows the Random Hall plugin, one of Lexicon's most famous algorithms. It passes a female voice through several presets, showing the spectral control of the new plugin.

  • @progjazzfusion yeah unfortunately any program that has a "Youtube" setting for video mangles the audio by default. I always make a bigger file and deal with the upload times so anything crappy is my own fault no question. lol

  • Small RHall 3 (Light) is very George Michael-like! :)

  • @StabbyMcButterPants Which means you must be in your 40s or 50s...so you're hearing is past its sell-by date anyway...lol

    Just kidding ;-)

Seriously though - you can't judge the quality from these demos...

Load up Cubase and try them out with your soundcard set to 96khz / 24bit...

They are bloody expensive for a set of plugins...

Then again - Waves is ridiculously over-priced...something like $20,000 plus for the top of the range bundle...lol

  • Random Hall preset: medium rhall1 dark :)

  • @StabbyMcButterPants - i think it is file compression or something, as lexicon is not going to let something that obvious slip thru their testing, or else we would have found out about it by now from online users and searches. However they have had complaints about their pcm96 having a firewire issue or something.

  • @progjazzfusion - I know the difference between video or audio file compression artifacts and a clipped audio signal. I've been a professional video/audio engineer for 23 years. I was just hoping it's just bad engineering and not the product. :)

  • @StabbyMcButterPants - uh what do you expect, this is just youtube, they compress files so nothing stays pristine.

  • I hear some kind of peaking going on under the voice and before the delay. I hope that's not the effects proc. :(

  • nice
