Sonic 2 (Game Gear) Bad Ending

This is the bad ending to Sonic 2 for the Sega Game Gear. I upload this as requested by Youtube user F1nnM4s0n86.
This ending looks almost exactly the same to the good ending, except that Sonic runs alone, and that only Tails' pic appears in the sky at the end.
On the Game Gear, the two endings also have a different background music, while they share the same music in the Master System version.

You get the bad ending if you collect less than 5 emeralds by the time you challenge Silver Sonic: if you have 5 or more, he'll give you the sixth, and you'll proceed to Crystal Egg Zone where you'll fight Robotnik in act 3; if you have less than 5, the game ends there, and this ending plays.
This ending also plays if you go to Crystal Egg Zone with the level select cheat.

The reason this is a bad ending isn't because Tails is dead. Sonic's just jealous that Tails has a constellation and he doesn't, so he stopped hanging out with him.

Eggman went to get a cheeseburger and a shake, which is why you don't fight him at the end.

See I used to think this was the good ending, Sonic failed and left Tails but was running happily under the beautiful changing sky. Tails was in heaven cos Sonic was thinking of him, and Robotnik died :)
