http://www.techdc.com Acer Aspire One netbook running Windows Vista Ultimate. Vista has been modified on this machine (removing Aero effects, Security Center, and other services) so that it is small and fast. A ReadyBoost SD card was installed for faster performance. Video shows speed of opening apps.

  • Windows 7 is MUCH better than vista..

  • Disagree. I actually am happy for him that he got vista. I used to hate it too but I spend more time on it and it's great. You just need to take more time getting used to it y'know?

  • Theres a new acer aspire one netbook that comes with windows vista preinstalled and 2gb ram 250 HDD and 499.90+tax but a new netbook that comes with vista and not windows 7 my netbook came with windows 7 why not that new netbook come with windows 7?.

  • @computerfreak785 Windows 7 SUCKS! Its a piece of junk!

  • @menziesicknut what you have to do is go to the Acer website and download the wireless driver (this is on a different computer of course), transfer that file over on a flash drive, install that on your Vista netbook, and it should work (I recommend Ubuntu Linux to people, it runs much better)

  • i done this to but my internet doesnt work im on a different comeputer right now but how do i get the interenet back to work on it its wireless ?

  • Does it has the factory restore?

  • thumps up if acer are great with xp

  • acer is the worst

  • Windows XP does recognize the Intel Atom's hyperthreading, my netbook has Windows XP Pro on it and it reads it as 2 cpu's, I saw a netbook in radio shack that has windows xp home on it and even that saw it as 2 cpu's, also, I have the exact same netbook as you do, I had Windows 7 on it for a while, but downgraded back to XP

  • I have Vista Basic on my netbook, and it's perfectly fine, definitely prefer it to XP, Mine isn't modified though, just retail vista.

  • @VOREVTO I'm not gonna tell you how too download it, that would be illegal and your likely to download a virus. But you can get vista and windows 7 online for around £60-70 look for an OEM version but buy from a reputable company like ebuyer dot com as there are a lot of scams going on. There are several guides as to how to install vista from a USB stick just google it.
