The fourteenth (actual) boss in Metroid: Other M.

Yes, it's another classic boss that appears in the game in his 3-D debut, Phantoon, everyone's *sarcasm*favorite*sarcasm* boss from Super Metroid. Well, he doesn't have his annoying hard difficulty or disappearing from SM anymore, and is fought in solid form.

Along with hundreds and hundreds of blue tears summoned (which you can dodge most of), Phantoon doesn't seem to have a care for the condition of the Control Bridge, because his attacks destroy pieces and parts of the window. Luckily you have the non purple Gravity Suit to keep you on ground. He swipes tentacles, fires eye lasers, summons Rage Hands and black hole geisers to kill you. The eye extends and when he's about to die you can perform two finishing moves. Either take a ride and Lethal Strike it or if you want a more gorey death then just shoot away at the eye to see the eyeball pop upon contact with broken glass. Either way, the battle leads out to what Samus wants, and the Best Thing Ever.
