How could Homer have been 33 at the start of the show when Marge turned 34 and she's younger than Homer?
-
@AdidasCollection well if you want the show to be so correct, maggie should be 20 now.

i remember that grunge band episode!

I saw him in super 8

When Dan started doing Homer, he sounded much older than he does today as Homer (I think he once said he did Walter Matthau impression at first). Sort of goes with the "eternal 39-40." In one episode Homer does specifically state that he thought "we're 38" and Marge corrects him as "39."

It's weird seeing Dan Castellaneta doing Homer's voice :o

Lisa's wedding was last year.

When they run out of ideas again, they can keep changing the floating timeline. If they're still on the air in 2030, they should do scenes with Homer being a kid in the 1990s. He would play NES and SNES Simpsons video games and say d'oh because of how awful most of the Simpsons video games are.

@AdidasCollection I concur! One of many vexations I have with the current writing of "The Simpsons". Homer was a lovable idiot in the early seasons, but now his character tries too damn hard to be a perpetual doofus :(
I gave up watching the show in first-run syndication in the early 2000's (except for the Halloween Specials, which FOX doesn't even air them in October, WTF!)......90's Simpsons are absolute GOLD!

its like the fact that either there house changes every episode or they have 3 identical couches, a basement and a garage, a tree outside Bart's window that seems to move around a lot, need I go on? :P
I HATED the episode where Homer 7 Marge were teens in the 90's. It made no sense and was stupid. I hate when the show writes episodes that characterize itself.

@AdidasCollection the 90's flashback episode was a reference to 90210 and Kurt Cobain both were HUGE in the early 90's. Hence the time setting of the episode.
