The Peeler "Hook Hammer" dunk was arguably the most exciting play in college basketball in his era. By popular demand, here are some of AP's best tomahawk jams.

  • Anthony peeeler was one of the best shooters in the NBA and he gets a dunk montage? sigh..

  • @blee3ee Well I'm a Missouri fan so my highlighs are of his college career, and actually AP was not a three point shooting specialist in college at all. He could shoot it well, but most of his points in college came from driving & dunking like you see here. He smartly developed his game in the pros to become a 3 point shooter & had a longer career than he would have as just a dunker.

  • @blee3ee to that point, despite being one of Missouri's all-time leading scorers, as a college player Peeler never once in his career led his team in three point shooting percentage. His development into a long range bomber in the pros was very gradual.

  • @dbooker34 no worries, im just upset I cant find any shooting footage of him. his form was so pure.

  • @blee3ee I feel ya, I only have college highlights but on my page if you go to my vids "Mizzou Hoops Reclaims #1 National Ranking" and "1992 NCAA tourney: Mizzou beats West Virginia" you can see him stroking some threes throughout those highlights. There doesn't seem to be any NBA highlight reels of him on here though which sucks cuz there should be.

  • u cant be a MU FAN IF U SAY PEELER WAS NOT A THREE POINT SHOOTER @ MU

  • Nice shot of Coach Mike Anderson sitting next to Nolan Richardson at the 1:53 mark. Sweet flat top for coach A!

  • what a beast, he could have been drafted much much higher than 15th, if not for the trouble he got in, top 10 pick in that deep 92 draft for sure

  • I remember AP being very good behind the arc and an excellent free throw shooters as well. He would get his points one way or another but the hook-hammer was awesome.

  • MIZ-ZOU!
