Lets talk 2011. 400 hp out of the 5.0 Mustang GT (not GT500). 422hp out of the 6.2 Camaro SS. So, remove 1.2L worth of displacement, and the power remains virtually the same. Mustang wins in handling, ergonomics, and price. The price is 1k$ less msrp. you can make 22hp with a $1000... So there are literally two reasons why you would choose Camaro over Mustang. 1) you are a Chevy fan who refuses to by a Ford product, or 2) You have too much money on hand and happen to like Camaro's looks better.

camaro is just now getting back into the game since 2002. put the GT500 up against the ZL-1. fords super mustang against chevys super camaro. thats what i wanta see. and a supercharged engine is not stock. no matter if it comes with it stock or not.

They are both amazing cars there is no doubt about that. However if you look at them as a whole, from the v-6 modes up through the v-8s of both, the mustangs quality and performs is better then the cameros.

@julpacheco1 are you on crack? a bigger engine with less hp . the gt500 is making almost 130hp more then a ss! with little more gear a bone stock gt500 is a 190+ player! stock for stock its not even close! gt500>ss

Chevrolet Camaro SS is the better choice

Chevy is better then Ford for one.

Gives better gas mileage then the GT500 with a bigger engine

also will smoke the GT500 if supercharged

And is proven to be for fact better then Ford in aero dynamics

@YourFavoriteExotics I also like the GT500 better than the Camaro (I own a Blk on Blk 2010 GT500). I only wish the GT500 came with some stickier tires in the back, as it has terrible traction problems. The Camaro does look good though.

Yeah I don't like the camaro even that my brother has one the gt500's are slow for all that horse power but the 5.0 is the best mustang yet
