I wish this film showed low functioning autistic children such as mine. I still ahve never had a conversation with her and she is 9. I would love to be to even know her favorite color. As for John Travolta's son Jett, I don't believe he was at all high functioning like these kids and that may be what bothered John. It's apples and oranges. But I'm glad autism is being ackowledged in some way.

I think people misunderstood your comment.... So people think that people are just retarded over there and not the Autistic diagnoses... but there is no information over there so there is no way to helpa friend of yours that lives there. Yes it is quite sad I agree.

I have to say thank you to Trevor, Joey and Trevor's Mom for this video. It was an aspect I hadn't thought of in concerns of my own HFA teen.
The part about not being able to keep up with the pace of peers not on the spectrum, and not getting everything that's said the first time around has been a struggle for my teen. I'd love to talk to Trevor's mom for some more insight.
