Reza Aslan, author of 'No God but God,' discusses how the uprisings in the Middle East and North Africa influences the balance of power in the region, and whether it is benefiting Iran.
aferin reza aslan, kas bele muslim cox olaydi, he is without any shame declares and says that he is shia muslim, I like him for this, although I dont like shia traditions
You ask what the people want, it is Shariah Law. So is that in Iran's interest? Maybe, the people who want Shariah Law clearly can't be women because it does nothing but let men mistreat women. The men have created their own poverty by having four wives each with four children. Americans and Europeans can't afford families like this. There is only so much food to feed the world. And Americans won't drill for oil they have, they think that crops burn really well in the tank of a car.
The entire Arab World is rejecting the old regimes, and in Lew of a clear end game, the real danger is they will look for a strongest leaning post...
Will that be Iran?
That scenario is clearly on the minds of many in the West.
What ever replaces the regimes, is unlikely to be the Islamic Fundamentalism like we see in Iran... simply because it looks too much like the restrictive systems they so disparately want to cast off.
Iran at least is on the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty... they still got b-slapped by Obama, when first off (If i remember correctly) Iran only needs to report the point when said nuclear infrastructure is operational not when building... AND Israel has hundreds more nukes than any muslim country probably.. Israel isn't on the NNPT either, so they dont need to tell anyone shit.... but I don't see Obama pointing that out, if anything Iran diverts attention from Israel who are very tied w/ US
Aslan, what if we fully follow IMF-World Bank's set of policies in Iran? Can we then get some positive media impression of Iran? ..I guess the answer is "Yes we can!".
You are history Aslan, we no longer buy your stuff!

Aslan is always someone who makes me think--for that alone he deserves credit.
