Composed by John Tavener in 1982, and sung by King's College Choir, Cambridge, this solemn Christmas Carol is accompanied with photographs of winter scenes taken by other people. There are undertones of beauty in both the music, the pictures and the message, which all suit each other well.

    Dear Banker.,

Nope, that was not the only outlet; there was reproduction having babies, one of which was the ungrateful you's parent.

    .

You could spill your seed/eggs on the ground, that had always seemed an easy thing to do to obtain outlet.

There were plenty of witches and capitalists and other sorts of perverse-functioning types about too; there was in fact no shortage of outlet or outletting.

    .

Without religion, there would have been a complete takeover of society by voodoo !

    .

  • Sounds like it is 500 years old. Its ancient sound is so wonderful, yet composed in 1982. Beautiful.

  • beautiful

  • So very, very spiritually calming... I feel totally at peace.

Thank-you as well for the beautiful images...

  • I love this song because of its melody and, especially, its harmonies. The religious side I easly ignore as I see this as the early history of British music. The fact that it had to come via religious channels is purely due to the times, nothing more. It's a human phenomenon, something w're capable of as people. It's just unfortunate the only outlet was religion at the time.I'm speaking generally and about our skill as a nation to write good music. No matter your reason, music is a purely human thing!

  • Love this piece so much... enjoyed singing it.

  • this is just beauty

  • A great test to see if you have noisy neighbours; to check are you, in fact being unreasonable in wishing they be quite and not disturbing.

    .

    Thanks be to God.

    .

    Don't suffer in silence !

    .

  • ps lovely images too. thanks.
