One day soon may it come to pass that teachers/professors widely implement the vehicle that is Al Stewart; his songwriting messages, composition and that voice. (Actually first time I've even heard this song. R/A album has been too scarce for me.) Arrangement aspects bring to mind Three Mules from Between The Wars--another extremely thoughtful/erudite "educational" piece courtesy of Al, w/ wonderful music. Forgive his occasional snarkiness at our ignorance (Florida). ;)

That classic line ~ "some people say that a country is more an idea than a place". How true!! And at the same time that song by Sting about Russians loving their children too...... and then............................... the wall came down.

Al Stewart has to be one of the most under rated songwriter/singers of our time. Thanks to all the posters who have put his music on Youtube. My local radio stations (which really suck) only play one or two of his songs. We don't get to hear all his other great material.
