Wow. The N.E.S. actually used two levels of scrolling speed. I thought the S.N.E.S. was where that started, but then I saw Mega Man 6 where they actually did what they did here, but in an actual stage. They actually went all the way to the limit of what N.E.S. could do?
And why do I not remember it doing this before. I saw this back in the 80s, so why didn't it amaze me? It sure did when Mario go that background treatment in Mario World.
