  • Depends on which performance you are attending, Google: Luminato 2012 Toronto, BAM Next Wave Festival, Berkley EOB Cal Arts.

  • Thank you for your comment spacoo, I think we all would enjoy hearing more about your experience at the premiere of Einstein, what was your first impressions, most memorable moments, overall audience reaction? Tell us more!!!

  • @opusnumberken For all the viewers that do not care for this type of theater, the composer said it best, "There is a lot of music out there, the Beattles, etc., you don't have to listen to mine, listen to something else, you have my blessing."

  • @opusnumberken I feel it necessary to mention that Mr. Glass has taught us a new way of listening to music ( the listener must find the macro changes rather than the melodies), and with that it takes a different set of ears and open mindedness, absent of all Westernized teachings and countless hours of music theory classes, to appreciate this kind of opus. This is a "new theater" way before its time when premiered 1976, we are so fortunate to have the opportunity to experience Einstein in 2012

  • 2012 World Tour of Einstein is now confirmed, I hope to meet you all there, I'll probably wait for the Berkley performances.

  • Damn this reminds me of Donkey Kong circa 1982 ...more than it does Einstein who is still ahead of all of us.

  • What was the price of the tickets?

  • @amcaesar LSD. That is all I can say, and before you say "Durrrr drugs are bad," remember that the opening progression of the opera is La So Do over and over and over and over again.

  • I'm seeing it in 5 days in Ann Arbor. Somebody invent a time machine because the wait is killing me.

  • For those who cannot be at the performance in 2012, a new documentary is in the works!

  • I saw the German premiere production (and world first production by a different director)) in Stuttgart in 1991 (IIRC). Some people left during the performance and made a point of banging the auditorium doors, but most people stayed and the applause was overwhelming.

  • @amcaesar There's nothing wrong with being indulgent and arbitrary. Everything followed.

  • I now have the full documentary on my channel.
