SBC TV Drama Serial Jin Lan Jie 新广电视剧 - 金兰结 (于台烟)

This show first debut in 1990. It's one of the more memorable shows I remembered. I kind of like Ye Sumei. She has since retired from the acting scene. Both the main and sub theme songs are very nice and performed by Taiwan songstress 于台烟. These two songs are only available in Singapore. The original main theme was sang by 于台烟 and local singer Guo CongYi. Both didn't even meet when they recorded this song. Guo CongYi pre-recorded this song while 于台烟 flew in to mixdown the final version. There is also her solo version of the main theme appaers in one of the greatest hits album released around the same time. The sub theme song is also very nice and even hard to find called 渔湾情歌。 I am quite pleased to hear her sang this at a recent concert with 万芳in 2007. It's a lost classic!!

Bingo! It's called 暴风边缘, shown in 1992. There are 2 tracks in the local released cassette of "Everything Is Alright" album in 1992. The first track is called "暴风边缘" which is the theme song, while the 插曲 is "Bei Ni Zhou Dau Zhoi Hou" (translated as "Be with you till the end of time"), which is very good, kinda jazzy and her voice fits so well in this track.

By the way, I also remember she sand another theme song for SBC series called "Bau Fong Bien Yuen" (translated as "Edge of Storm" )starring Lee Nan Xin. Anyone has the clip to share?

I just did a check. This show was showned in 1992 called 暴风边缘 THE BREAKING POINT. Sorry I am not too good in shows from the 90s anymore..

Thank you so much for uploading this!!! I'm a great fan of 于台烟 from Singapore, and these 2 theme songs from her are really timeless! I remembered buying the cassette released by "Kai Siew" record label back in 1989, and immediately fell in love with her songs and vocals. That was how I got to know her.

Yup!! Good to hear from you. The Jin Lan Qie song in that greatest hits cassette actually contain the song done without the male vocal. Anyway, Kai Siew is out of business so these songs used to be impossible to find until recently.

The SBC TV serials rules!!! The crap they put out on ch8 nowadays are unwatchable. Back then those were real TV actors and actresses. Now are just wannabes.
