Chilena, a type of music typical of the Costa Chica or the southeastern coast of the states of Guerrero, is performed on Thursday, 5th November, 2009 at Acapulco during the inaugural ceremony of the 3rd International Festival of Acapulco La Nao (5-8 November 2009). In all 12 countries including Mexico participated in this festival. India participated for the first time. A folk dance group Geetanjali International Folk Tang from Mathura in the state of Uttar Pradesh represented India in this festival. Acapulco, whose full name is Acapulco de Juárez, is a resort city and a major sea port in the state of Guerrero on the Pacific coast of Mexico, 395 kms southwest from Mexico City. The name "Acapulco" comes from the Nahuatl language meaning a "place of big reeds".
