Bob Electric Bicycle Trailer EV Hauler
36v 10ah Lithium Polymer battery
Mag Motor Q4D Motor Controller with Regen

There is a need for an electric assisted bicycle hauler trailer. This original proof of concept project demonstrates a solution to meet this need.

This project was conceived and designed by Sri and built by Sri and Roy in Santa Barbara (2009).
If we can do it - you can too!

  • Why are you pedaling???

  • @oldspam If the power plant is clean, The amount of emissions to produce the batteries required vs the amount of emissions to get places accounting for the life of the battery, amounts to far less. You have to consider, a gas vehicle is running even while not being used for motion, not so with electric. These differences add up greatly.

  • Muito da hora cara a sua invenção, estou precisando de um motor desses, podes me dizer onde encontrar? Fiz uma miniatura mas não coloquei motor, na próxima quero colocar um motor.

  • Elegant solution!

  • Great Idea. A pusher. Take it off for exercise (right) and put in to get downtown. I see great potential for sales. You could configure the device to be installed on virtually any bicycle making it universal. Great job guys.

Ignore the idiots that slam your idea, they haven't ever had one of their own (idea that is) so they put down anyone who has to make themselves feel better. ;-)

  • @corall2009 you fail at life.

  • strupid idea

  • @oldspam Batteries vary in materials, did you know they have a battery with half the anode as molten salt. Get educated, what you said is very vague.

  • Green ? does anybody know what they make batteries out of ?

  • Thanks fro all the comments and support guys. I am glad there's interest in this. The idea is simple: A trailer to assist when you're carrying loads, easy to attach to a regular bike so you don't need to weigh your bike down with an electric drive train.

Phillip: I hope to build a useful version of this prototype by Earth Day 2012.
