Kistur teaches how to make a ravantha

This is the first video I cutted about my Asia trip. The quality is a pitty, but the story fixes it.

Este es el primer vídeo que he montado del viajecito por Asia. La calidad es una lástima, pero la historia lo arregla.

Conocí a Kistur en Pushkar (Rajastan, India). Él es bhopa. Los bhopa son el clan de los músicos que tocaban para los maharajas. Hablé con Blasco para ver si le interesaba un ravantha que es el instrumento que toca Kistur. Afirmó y volví aquedar con Kistur para ver que se podía hacer. Me invitó un par de veces a su casa para ver como customizaba el instrumento para dejarlo más bonito. No le importó que fuera con la cámara de vídeo.

Lo gracioso es que para que Blasco supiera como tocar el instrumento tuve que aprender yo primero para enseñarle después. Así que fuimos quedando bastantes días justo en el sitio más turístico de Pushkar. Ahí nos sentábamos en unos escalones para que aprendiera a tocar el ravantha. Qué vergüenza, ¡jamás logré hacer que aquello sonara bien!

Ahora este mismo instrumento que trabaja Kistur en el vídeo está en manos de Blasco.

Hi !

Could you please tell me when was it ?

I was in Pushkar last November (2010), and I met the boy that we see in your video at 1min50, the last one in the line, sitting just at right of Kistur. I went there, at their home, with all the family that we see, but without Kistur.

The boy is named Ram. Can you please tell me if Kistur was his father ?
