How to properly maintain and oil a K&N / S&B reusable air filter. To find out how much oil to apply to your K&N filter visit http://www.knfilters.com/search Search for your vehicle or K&N Part Number. This will take you to the filter specs. to include both oz and ml measurements. For S&B filters visit http://www.sbfilters.com/Stock-Replacement-Filters . search to find your vehicle or part number. The filter specs will show "Re-Oiling Amount for Filter: 51" This is a grams measurement. REMEMBER! Just use the garden hose with no hose attachment. Attachments increase the water pressure and can damage the filter media. Be sure to use a soft hair brush like the one I used on the filter to remove debris. A hard brush may damage the filter media.

  • @MrSyriaMoon they have paper disposable filters now. of course, they cost close to $50 each... so, you can either choose convenience and cost or spending a little time and savings. your call.

  • The MAF sensor doesnt cost $500. i have replaced my before due to i off-road a lot. but something i found works is compressed air, if you happen to have a compressor use it to help blow out the excess dirt or bugs and anything else that may be inside it. it also helps dry the filter faster and gets most of the water out. be sure to let in dry thoroughly though

  • All this time i need to clean especialy when re oiling it.. i have to thing twice before i buy it

  • the pressure from that brush is actually pushing dirt further into the filter, bad ideal unless u do offroadin, thats not needed

  • @heatherandpaul2 Yap thats why mine MAF sensor died... -.- I bought an cheap air filter and there wasnt any oil on it.. I didnt know that - and after 3 moths the MAF sensor died. I'm using the original filter now, but I'll buy oil! I want more sound :)

  • @heatherandpaul2 youre right my neighbor killed his maf sensor and paid 500 dollars to get it fixed everyone needs to be careful not to put too much oil

  • @MrElcholo133 If you dont do it right it could kill your MAF sensor, if you have one.

  • so do u have a replacement filter you use to run your vehicle while this one drys?

  • great vid, had no idea how to clean the k&n on my truck. now i am good to go!
