I completely agree with your rant here, there's nothing wrong with feeling offended over something, but the reporters are just running a plain old smear campaign, getting their facts wrong and deliberately lying. Personally I didn't find it offensive because both of those characters, at least at that point in the game, were completely evil and were both only using the player for their own selfish gain.

So-called reporters are bad at giving info. A friend of mine was living in her mom's house when it burned down. They were both in it, but you wouldn't know that because they only acknowledged her mom as being the soul occupant. When my friend tried to get the facts straight, she was instead, mocked for being a grown woman, mooching off her mom. She was. devistated. All she wanted was for people to know she almost died too. Now she feels the whole town thinks she shouldn't have lived.
