@196327005 On the contrary the main line is very well to be heard during the whole piece! I think the way Richter plays this final part of the partita is sheer perfection.

you can't really hear the melody very well on this harpsichord, just the repeated notes.

hello, i m so very sorry, but this cembalo doesn`t sound really beautiful . and richter was a great player, already in his times there have been constructed wonderful copies from france (tasquin) etc... this is a machinal performance, he plays much better his bach on a piano. i knew him by the way personally.and i think, he would not agree to those neupert , sperrhake or wittmayer performances in our time..
