Inside Out Smothered Cheeseburger

2 pounds Angus beef

1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon minced onion

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

2 -teaspoons garlic salt

1 tablespoon of black pepper

16 ounces mild cheddar cheese

8 pieces cooked bacon

4 Kaiser buns

Place Angus beef in a bowl and thoroughly mix in Worcestershire sauce and spices until everything is blended well. Begin forming patties with your hand. This should makeeight quarter-pound patties. Once your first patty is formed, sprinkle bacon and cheddar cheese in the center of the patty. Then form another patty the same size and place on top, sealing the bacon and cheddar in the center of the burger. Place on the grill until cooked to desired temperature.

Once you have cooked the four burgers on the grill, bring them inside to place on a griddle and melt the cheddar cheese. Turn your griddle on high heat, put the burger on the griddle and cover it generously until the cheese surrounds the outside of the burger. Place a few pieces of crushed ice on the griddle to begin steaming the cheese and cover with a large lid. Once the cheese begins to melt around the outside of the burger, use a spatula to begin releasing it from the griddle. This should form about and inch or larger ring of cheese around the burger. serve on a toasted bun while still bubbling.

  • This guy knows what he's doing. I'm subscribing right now... If I don't die of starvation first : )

  • Pepperjack is the BEST.

  • that certainly looks delicious, but wow.. It's kinda strange for a cook to make something and then drown it in store-bought ketchup and mustard.

But then again, you explain that that's the way you like it so it's only fair.

  • Ha Ha, instead of just watching this video, and being hungry, like so many ppl are doing im actually cooking and making my own angus cheeseburger, so yup, its good, ^_^ actually mines better, im changing the recipe and using better ingredients, organic baby spinage leaves instead of iceberg lattice, organic tomatoes, but mines is more Hardees style
