I don't think she had any weak apparatus. She was glorious on every apparatus!
-
I thought Onodi's bar routine was pretty good compared to a lot of the others. what was her score?
-
@SiEtIn1 It is not a comaneci salto where the gymnast releases the bar after doing a kip. Julianne Mcnamara was right.
-
@spartyutube a Comaneci is a cast-reversed back salto-front regrasp. A jaeger is a front salto from reverse grip.

Does anyone know what place she finished in the AA? I just love Onodi.

Thanks - I get it!

that was the commentator's mistake, it was actually a comaneci salto, not a jaeger

That style of release skills seemed to be taught to her early to late eighties style when the bars were closer and release moves often suffered in height because of it.

a Comaneci salto is front salto directly out of a cast, a Jaeger is out of a front giant. This sort of looks like a Comaneci Salto because she doesn't get a lot of height but its definitely a Jaeger because she does a front giant into the release. So the commentator was correct, i had to do a double take too just to make sure.
Daria Joura does a very nice Comaneci salto
