@JessicaSideways You can get a post-graduation work permit and I don't think you need to have a job secured before you apply, so there are no problems with LMOs etc. It seems to be the route to go if you can do it.

Well, that's all well and good but how difficult is it to get a labour market opinion so when you are nearing the end of your studies in Canada, you can start gaining that 1 year work experience in Canada required for immigration? Or are open work permits being granted so soon-to-graduate students can hit the ground running and get work much more easily?
